At the entrance 1 of the Anguk Subway station in Seoul, there is a large tiled wall, each tile lovingly hand-drawn or hand-written by different people. Some are poems, some are sketches, and some are stories – random thoughts placed side-by-side making up the whole wall, thoughts as varied as the crowd that walks through this station at a rush hour. Sometimes we just need more art in modest public spaces to cheer us up. It doesn’t need to be grand at all but just a small reminder to put our creativity to work and to daydream.
