On Friday October 18, Embassy of the Republic of Korea presented its 5th ‘School Visit Program’ and the first ‘Embassy Field Trip Program’ to Grade 11-12 students of Glebe Collegiate Institute introducing Korea-Canada relations and the role of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
Counselor for Cultural and Public Affairs, Mr. Heon-jun Kim, explained the significance of the double milestones while emphasizing the close relationship between Korea and Canada from the 19th century to the present. Counselor Kim also explained the various programs available for Canadians to take advantage of in further promoting the dynamic people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
In addition to the Korea-Canada relations presentation, the students of the Glebe Collegiate Institute were given a tour of the Embassy including the Consular office and the King Sejong Institute to further raise their awareness of the role of the Embassy.
