Torontonians should be proud! We were the only one of the six cities – Toronto, Dallas, New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Istanbul – that successfully “krowdpopped” this Unite the Mic concert! Krowdpop is essentially a kickstarter for K-pop concerts; Concerts are on as long as ticketing goals can be met. If not, you get a full refund.
To the generosity of the Korean Embassy of Canada, I witnessed it first hand on Friday of March 20th, and kicked off my weekend with 3 hours of non-stop K-pop with San E, Ailee, and Jay Park at Massey Hall performing arts theatre.
Here’s a social media recap of my favorites from the night:

Overall, great performance. An Emcee or a collaboration stage would have definitely made it more put-together as the transition from one artist to the next and the ending was a bit abrupt. Still, got to watch Korean artists perform in North America – can’t complain. Hoping for more Krowdpops in Toronto. Till then!
