“CETK Alumni Network New Website-launching & Korean Night in
Gangnam Style”

Dinner, Alumni Networking & Membership Building Party
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at 6:00 pm
Korean Palace Restaurant, 610 Somerset St. W., Ottawa

Dear CETK Alumni & Friends,

The Canada Korea Society, in co-operation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, presents a Canadian ESL Teachers to Korea (CETK) Alumni Network Dinner, New Website Launch and Membership Building Party on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Korean Palace Restaurant, Ottawa.

Currently, over 5,000 Canadian ESL Teachers are working in Korea, and many times that number have returned to Canada to work in various capacities, with happy memories and unique and valuable experiences in Korea.

The Network Project is a bridge program under the Society’s mandate which is to promote bilateral understanding, cooperation and closer friendship between Canada and the Republic of Korea as well as among Canadians and Koreans in both countries – and the importance of Canada-Korea relations as research and development collaborator and trading partner.

I believe that Canadian ESL teachers who have worked in Korea, and those who are presently working there, are important “grassroots” ambassadors for connecting our two countries even more closely. This evening event provides the ESL Teachers to Korea Alumni Group with an opportunity to connect with each other, the Canada Korea Society, Canadian Government & Parliamentary representatives, and the Korean Embassy in Ottawa.

The network is also an important information source to help future ESL Teachers to Korea better prepare themselves and understand the nature of their adventure in Korea.
