Nationwide Rating: 18.8% (Nielson Korea)
Reply 1988 is the third installment of the Reply series following the success of Reply 1997 and Reply 1994. The production crew has stated that it is a comic drama that you can relate to through tears and laughter, as you can feel the affection among the families and the neighbors with the analogue-like scent and memories of 1988.
Even though, the drama has already been concluded on January 16th, viewers are still upset with the ending, where Taek (Park Bo Gun) became the husband instead of Jung Hwan (Ryu Jun Yeol). There were even new acronyms like 어남택 or 어남류 created, meaning that the husband will be Taek or Jung Hwan (whoever they support) after all. Viewership ratings of the final episode was 18.8%, making it the highest rated drama in Korean cable television history.

It is about a female university student named Hong Seol (Kim Go Eun) and her relationship between her senior, Yoo Jung (Park Hae Jin). Hong Seol is an intelligent, faithful, yet a very normal girl. On the other hand, Yoo Jung is the perfect dream boy a girl could imagine but he is also hiding his dark side.
