It became a custom for us to think of most sophisticated things as being French, so it came as a pleasant surprise for me to discover the acclaimed Aude Tahon, a Parisian based designer, who draws inspiration for her complicated textile and jewelry designs from none other than traditional Korean knot techniques. Her fascination with Korean culture provided the means to masterfully play with light, shade and space in creating uniquely charming and almost beautifully immaterial textile objects. Here are a few examples of her work.
